UPDATE: Smith & Son assisted us in replacing our whole house water filtration system.. they went above and beyond including helping to obtain the correct replacement system too! Awesome! We discovered a leak in the ceiling of our garage after a major freeze. Called Monday morning and were given an appointment Tuesday morning. Smith and Son's were on time.. efficient in their diagnosis and repair - very impressed. Smith & Son's were highly communicative throughout the process sending email confirmation and text updates on appointment schedule, arrival time, job up-date, completion and receipt. This is how it should be done! Thanks guys - you have moved to the top of our call list!

First time customer. The hot water line to our washing machine broke when I tried to remove the hose from the valve. After my wife saw an online recommendation, I called and left a detailed message. They called right back within about 5 minutes. Extremely professional and friendly on the phone. They scheduled a repair right away. Gage arrived within an hour (maybe 30 minutes?). Very friendly and professional. Made a clean and fairly small exploratory cut into the drywall and found the problem right away. He made a quick trip to pick up a new valve. Responsive, courteous, professional, affordable. Thank you thank you thank you! Smith and Son were our heroes today!

I had a leak problem in my front yard, so I called Smith and Son Plumbing because they had such good reviews. The person on the phone was very responsive and nice, he told me it was $27 for someone to come and take a look at the issue, if I go ahead and do the fix with them I don't have to pay the $27, only the fix, it sounded good, so I scheduled it. The plumber came next day and gave me an estimate of $630 to find the leak and fix it, I thought it was a bit expensive but they seemed to be the right choice, so I approved the estimate and scheduled the fix for next day. The plumber came next day and started digging and within 5 minutes he said: "It is the sprinkler, you better call a sprinkler guy and it will be much less expensive than a licensed plumber", he charged me $89, which was still ok, after all, I didn't expect them to come and tell me what the issue was for free. I called a sprinkler guy, he came took a look and said it is not the sprinkler, I was bit skeptical and disappointed, but he started digging to show me the issue, long story short he fixed it for a fraction of the estimate I got from Smith and Son plumbing. I am happy they did a bad diagnose, otherwise I would have spent so much money, but still I got charged $89 for a bad diagnose.

We called Smith and Son Plumbing for the first time to replace a failed hot water heater. We have been dealing with two traditional tank heaters that never seem to last to their warranty. We have dealt with home warranty companies for years, but with horrible experience. Now that we can choose our own company, we are so glad to have found Smith and Son. They replaced the tanks with a tankless hot water heater and are incredibly professional. The day after the install we called back with two small concerns/questions and they came right away to address and resolve both! We will gladly use Smith and Son for all of our plumbing needs from now on!

The guy who answered the phone for the appointment was very rude and sarcastic. He seems he doesn't want to take any appointments. Whenever I asked any questions he just said “I just make appointments” and ignored me. He acted like don’t waste my time and being sarcastic. At least he could try to ask someone to get my answers or redirect to someone else to have conversations with the customers. Terrible service. Bad choice to put poor service and unprofessional guy into the service desk.

Plumber came out on 3/28 and did not have the necessary tools to do the leak detection tests that we had requested when we scheduled the appointment. Was told we would receive a call from the office to schedule the test. We did not receive a call so we followed up and set up an appointment for 4/4 for the leak test. Arrival window was 10-1. I received a text at 11:55 that the plumber was en route. I left work and came home and waited. Plumber never showed. Called the office at 12:55 and was told plumber was still at another job. Paid for a trip on 3/28 in which the plumber did nothing because he didn't bring the equipment to do the test that we told him we needed, and I wasted lots of time waiting around for a plumber to not call and not show. When you call the office no one seems to no what is going on. Would not recommend.

After Atmos Energy injected 3x the amount of mercapten into the natural gas supply, it brought two small leaks to our attention around our water heaters in the garage. Rick was quick to respond and fix our issues for a reasonable price.

Needed a shower faucet replaced, actually ended up needing the whole valve replaced, as the old one was damaged. Their quote was in-line with another place I had look at it. To be completely fair to them, their final project price was substantially cheaper, as they took time to explain that if I did some of the demo work myself, the final tab would be far less. I appreciated that extra dose of honesty and communication. Very punctual as well. All aspects of the interactions were greatly positive. Hoping I don't need a plumber again anytime soon, but if I do, this will be the first place I call - and recommend to others.

Smith and Son saved the day (and the long holiday weekend)! I could not be more appreciative. Yesterday evening, I had very low water pressure and I had leaking from what appeared to be the front of the house (it was the pressure relief valve). I had to turn off the water supply since it was drenching the yard. Momma ain't happy when water was not on demand. I called one company I had used in the past and they had no availability...I got concerned (again, momma ain't happy when she ain't got water/toilet/shower...and if momma ain't happy, well, you know...). Having the water turned off for the long weekend would have been a miserable endeavor. In addition, I wouldn't have a spot in my schedule next week to meet someone to have a repair done. I began to quickly read reviews for plumbers in the area and came across Smith & Son. When I called, they were super nice. They mentioned they had a full day scheduled for the crew, but the desperation in my voice must have been evident and they generously rearranged the schedule and made a spot for me. Rick came to my house on time, listened to my problem, automatically knew the solution, instantly gave me a quote, and level-set my expectations on what could pop-up once he got into it. I really appreciated his professionalism and straightforwardness. Great communication and answered all of my questions. The quote was in-line with what I expected (after trying to self-diagnose via google and research how much each scenario would be). The pressure relief valve is an outside repair requiring a lot of dirt to be dug up...and its July in Texas...needless to say, probably not the funnest repair for him before a long weekend when we all just want kick off early and have a little family leisure time. I am so ecstatic that it got done today. While my budget wasn't expecting a plumbing job, I knew the price was fair. Rick even put the flower bed back together as good as it was before the required digging. And the final price was no more than what Rick had level-set. No "gotcha's" or sneaky added in fees or charges...just paid what I had expected. I would highly recommend Smith & Son Plumbing. Not only are they now my "go to" for plumbing issues...I now have a great business to recommend to my friends when they ask me if I know of any good plumbers. It was a real blessing and a load of stress lifted. Thank you Smith & Son Plumbing!

UPDATE: I continue to be very impressed with the service and professionalism of Smith and Son Plumbing. If you are looking to have something diagnosed and fixed without up-sell or run-around.. give them a call! UPDATE: Smith and Son was able to address issues with two toilets which never quite filled.. and even replaced the old turn-off valves which were no longer able to completely shut off the water - definitely don't want a turn-off valve failing! 2nd time in a month using Smith & Son services...good both times! I requested Gabriel (he is the 'Son'). Replaced the PCV outside and our water pressure increased from 40's to 80's!! Very happy to have pressure for more than one water need at the same time, and very reasonable price (I got a Senior discount, too), especially when compared to another well known plumbing company in the area.

A+ to the plumbers who actually showed up, when they said they would, and fixed my leaky hose bib. The price was reasonable, the repair was fast, and they were super friendly to boot. We have had a heck of a time getting a plumber to show up at all. We've had a couple say they would come, and then cancel last minute. One guy strung us along for a couple of weeks. Another showed up completely unprepared for a basic job after days of delay. Smith and Son kept their appointment with us and were very professional. We will be calling them first for future plumbing needs.

Fast response time, did a great job fixing my gas line, pricing was fair. They had to relight my water heater and because I had just moved into the home, I wasn’t aware we had 2 water heaters until 20 minutes after they left. I called and the sent someone right back super fast. Also - they have a great scheduling system with reminders that is helpful. I’ll definitely use them again

I am very please with the work Jeremy Williams and his coworkers from Smith and Son Plumbing did for us. It was our first time using this company, which I decided to use based on the good reviews I read and their BBB rating. So please that they live up to their word. They give a free estimate and their pricing is reasonable. They changed out my hot water heater and fixed a leak in one of our bathrooms. They replaced the two handle faucet with a new one handle and am so happy with it. From the start they were polite and friendly and even wore masks at my request because of my illness. These guys even clean up after themselves. Will definitely use them in the future if needed and will highly recommend to everyone.
